Description: Developed by Russian fitness trainer Pavel Tsatouline and introduced to the Twin Cities by Andrea DuCane, the kettlebell workout is unique in how it strengthens the stabilizing and supporting muscles. The shape and design of the kettlebell allows more range of motion, ballistic movement and within specific exercises a change in the "lever" of the weight to the body. By forcing the body to control the weight - without added support or isolating the working muscle, you end up utilizing the deeper, harder to work, stabilizing and supporting muscles. Quick workouts - maximum results!! Bottom line - you get functional strength not bulky superficial muscles!!! Non-Mpls. residents must register in person and not online. Andrea is a Master Kettlebell Instructor, ZHealth, Level 4 Instructor and trained in stott Pilates. She has been teaching Kettlebells for 7 years, Pilates for 8 and has 20 years experience of aerobics and weight training, with an additional background in classical ballet, jazz dance Argentinean tango, yoga, tai chi and qigong.
